GREYHOUNDS
This series includes Mesomorph Stacks and Greyhounds in a wide variety of scales, from 4” to 70”.
It is one of several of my explorations of fragments of industrial designs. Here, the specific references are to the boxy forms and curves of iconic 1960s Greyhound buses.
Part of the Greyhounds series, these are large and/or stacked variations of greyhound designs.
The word Mesomorph comes from a silly classification system for body types; mesomorphs are typically strong and solid.
This series brings together visual ideas and design elements from both Greyhounds and Runes. Sculptures in the series are titled Morphemes.
Morphemes, in linguistics, are meaningful morphological units of a language that can’t be further divided.
